One of my least favorite visits when handling a Nutrition Response Testing case is what I call the “shopping bag visit.” The shopping bag visit is the visit when I ask the patient to bring in any other supplements they were taking when they decided to begin seeing me. These might be supplements their last practitioner recommended. They might be supplements recommended by the guy at the health food store or stuff they found online when they googled their symptoms. Could be something their friend took that was a miraculous cure or even–in just one case that I can think of–stuff they bought on QVC at 2am!
The problem is this: without testing, how do we know if your body will like or need the supplements you’re buying? And how will we know you’re addressing the root cause of your symptoms? And how do we know exactly what your supplements contain or how they were processed. At Inner Fire, we do individual testing of each person so we know exactly which specific organs are out of balance and what specific issues we need to address to handle the imbalance.
In addition, we focus on whole-food supplements–organically grown on the Standard Process farm in the mineral-rich soil of Wisconsin. Our non-GMO products are designed to nourish each specific organ. We’re not looking for the next miracle element (ever notice how everyone’s Vitamin D deficient lately?) We’re handling each person’s specific nutritional needs with the exact right whole-food supplement. And what we see as a result is that specific nutrition equals specific results!
